... over time. The trend displayed in both Graph 1 and part of Graph 2 correlates the current theory, that chlorophyll is necessary for consistent growth. The albino plant that grew from the Group Punnet grew as expected, yet the albino plant that was used to increase the sample size of the data proved to be an anomaly as on average, it grew more than the green plants. The validity of this experiment, and the results that were ascertained were limited due to the small sample size. An anomaly that occurred was that it was not anticipated that the albino growth rate would be higher than the green. This is due to the fact that the half of the data was from an albino barley plant that was needed to increase the sample size of the results. The data used for that aspect of the graph was from barley that had been grown in a separate punnet, therefore not growing the same as those in the Group Punnet. The anomaly is evident in Graph 2. A source of error was that the variables werent fully controlled throughout the data collection process as the measurements were not taken correctly. Although the same ruler was used each time, the same person did not measure the plants and it was not done at the same time each day. As a solution, the same person needs to be taking the measurements at the same time each day, with the same ruler. The experiment could be changed by correcting when the barley plants are watered, and how much water they are given each day. Another is that the same person should be measuring the plants at the same time each day. These corrections would make it so that the variables were controlled, resulting in more accurate data.
