The mother always has positive thoughts and intentions for every action she does. Though the father and mother have opposing, they both enjoy watching the games and supporting their star player. Parents emphasize the importance of education throughout the teenage years. High school education opens the door to many college opportunities. Though parents realize the importance of education, some tend to take it a little to the extreme. Fathers tend to have a more strict expectation for their daughters than mothers. When his daughter comes home with a failing grade, he bombards her with questions and reprimands her for not studying enough. He wants his girl to be his ideal daughter, and does not understand her own unique skills and talents. On the other hand, the mother realizes that people do make mistakes. When her daughter shows her a failing grade, she sympathizes and lectures about the importance of education. Usually, she ends her lecture by basically telling her daughter to try harder next time. For the father, there is no next time it is now or never. But, in the end both the mother and the father have only good intentions. Both want their daughter to have a bright future because they know she is a bright girl.The relationship between a mother and daughter and a father and daughter, besides the differences in social life, sports, and education, are strong bonds. They both base their strict rules off of their daughters life, and only think for the betterment of herself. Even though the two relationships have their positive points and negative points, they are still deep connections between the daughter and the parent.
