Describing My Family History

... been a dream of mine to go to a university and to demonstrate to my parents that my hard work and their hard work have paid off. Seeing my family struggle makes me want to attend a university so that I wont have to go through the same struggles and I can have a well paying job and be financially stable. With my dreams to attend a university and have a well paying job also comes being able to afford for my family and not have to worry about where the next paycheck is coming from. My mom has been extraordinarily encouraging and always has great advice that really affects the types of dreams I have for the future. I have always made sure to work hard at sports and my mom was the one who gave me the advice to go into swimming, now I want to be one of the best swimmers and perhaps attend the Olympics. One day she looked up at me while I was doing my homework and sat beside me she said Always put yourself before anyone else. You need to work hard for yourself, not anyone else because in the end this will affect you. After what she had told me I was determined never to settle for less. Having a family who continues to have a strong relationship even though life seems to become harder each day has given me a stronger need to achieve. Through struggles I have learned to achieve and to do more than I am anticipated to do. Without our struggle I wouldnt have tried as hard or would have appreciated everything that I have been given. My family has always had an incredible influence on me and without them I wouldnt have had the courage to write this.
