... should never be presented again. Lastly, According to the Journal of Intellectual Disability Research, children with (PWS) Prader-Willi Syndrome presented in a special needs environment indicates a significant predictor of underachievement in these children (Whittington, Holland, Webb, Butler, Clarke Boer, 2004). Just because a child has a chromosome or sex-linked chromosomal abnormality does not mean that we should push them aside and focus on everyone else. These children also have ambitions and talents that can touch and change the world we just need to open our eyes. In order to improve the lives of these children with abnormalities, several essential factors come to mind. First, education is the most important and is what creates and guarantees future success. That is to say, designing programs that challenge and ultimately make these children succeed will better the lives of not only these children, but their families. Secondly, Family is an also a huge factor to think about because having a child with a chromosomal abnormality not only impacts the child, but the family. With this in mind, creating programs for these families can ultimately produce relationships and wise counsel to other individuals that are dealing with identical things. Lastly, designing programs for teachers to help better prepare them, when working with these children with abnormalities and on how to educate, deal with situations, communicate and show encouragement. In conclusion, children with chromosome or sex-linked chromosomal abnormalities do experience many challenges, one most importantly being education. These children deserve to treated and challenged in their knowledge just as much as their peers do. With that being said, that is why it is so important to design the programs discussed above. These programs will discover new opportunities, emotions, and dreams that will allow these children to believe that they too can do anything!
