... is that everything happens for a reason. My grandma got lost so that she could be reminded that my grandpa is with her wherever she goes. God has a plan for everyone. Although I know this, it is not always an easy thing to believe. It is hard to understand why bad things happen to good people. Why someone who has never smoked a day in their lives could end up with lung cancer, and someone who smokes a pack a day be cancer free. When my sister was hospitalized for anorexia two years ago, it was very hard for me to understand. Why did that have to be in His plan for her, Why did this have to happen to my family, We will never know the reason why it happened to her, but I would like to think that it was his way of bringing us closer as a family. I know that things happen in our lives that seem unmanageable and make us feel like we are spiraling out of control. But, I also know that God will never present us with challenges that we cannot handle. He will never push us past the point of breaking. In these past few years, my faith and understand in God has grown remarkably. I know that I can still have a strong connection to God, even though I do not go to church. I have learned that God will help me find strength in difficult situations. Even though the road might be long and bumpy, we have to push through the challenges. We have to trust God to lead us in our journeys. Works Cited 1. Marthaler, Berard L. "Chapter 1." The Creed The Apostolic Faith in Contemporary Theology. Mystic, CT Twenty-Third Publications, 1993.
