According to The National Alliance on Mental Illness (MANI) there are over 10 million people in the United States with bipolar disorder. So I mentioned Mania, depression, and bipolar disorder now Ill talk about Mania and Depression. Mania is the period of euphoria, restlessness, energy, recklessness, and much talking. Patients may go on emotional sprees in which they may engage in risky behaviors, including risky sex. Depression is the opposite mood extreme of mania, patients feel sad, cry a lot, and have extremely low energy levels of energy. Some of the causes of bipolar disorder are as follows genetics, chemical imbalances in the brain, Biological traits, and hormonal problems. Medication seems to be the best way to treat bipolar disorder. This article will be useful to include in my paper especially when it comes to talking about bipolar disorder. I picked a whole source on bipolar disorder because it running hand and hand with Seasonal Affective Disorder. Although this particular article focuses entirely on Bipolar Disorder it was interesting and refreshing to read about SAD from another perspective. This article also includes information on everything you would possibly need to know about bipolar disorder from what causes this to treatments. This article was by far one of my favorite to read.
